About to make a long trip..what psi?
Hey guys im leaving to tenn. from jersey on monday. i will have 3 MAYBE a fourth person and a full trunk of stuff. What do u think is the recommended psi to run front and back? If memory serves me right.. stock is 32 psi. Im on 235/40/18 Kuhmo Ecsta 712's. Is more better in this case?
I recently had a tire hot patched and with the tire OFF the car the psi was about 40. With the tire on the car it was about 33psi. This was a rear tire. CAn someone explain this? Wouldnt the pressure be higher with the weight of the car on it?

Higher pressure always results in better fuel economy. So the more the better, as long as you don't exceed maximum PSI rating (well, just in case keep it like 4 -5 psi below max) and your passengers can stand the ride.
