Opinions on G-Force, Falken FK-451, or Other Recomendations

I'm going to be needing some new rubber sooner than i planned, the last mech messed with front camber and now my inner bridgestones RE750's are bald! (long story)

But anyways, i'm looking at a 235/40/R18 size tire. The bridgestones were awesome but i just can't afford to spend 175$ per tire. So here is what i've narrowed it down to so far from what i've read:

BF Goodrich g-Force Sport ~$125
Falken GR Beta FK-451 ~$118

Anyone have experience with either of these? or can reccomend a good tire for me? Right now i'm kind of leaning towards the BF Goodrich's....

Rims are Volk GT-N 18X8 37mm offset if you think i should use a different size.

Go with the BFGoodrich. Falken 451 is a horrible tire in my opinion.

I have the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2 now and they are great tires.

They would both be alright. Have you looked at Falken's new tire the FK-452? Supposedly the 451 is discontinued and the 452 is replacing the 451. I've heard people bragging about their Toyo Proxes 4 too. I would also consider 245/40/18.

Yeah i was considering 245's but i'm already very close to the outside of the wheel well because of the offset of the wheels.

Anyone know if sumitomo makes a good tire? Like the HTR+'s..

They are not both alright. The 451 is a bad tire. Do not go that route.

Noisy, quick tread wear, traction is a bit poor with aggressive driving unless the tires are warmed up and your on dry pavement, handling is a bit poor on wet pavement. I have also had a bad experience with them. When I was having my car worked on the tech noticed that the sidewall on the back of the tire was ripping apart as though someone slit it with a blade 3 of the tires had this issue. The front wheels were worse. So I took them back to where I bought them and got a credit. But I guess you get what you pay for. The only plus with these tires is they look good and are cheap.

Noisy, quick tread wear, traction and handling is subjective, so I won't go into those but it seems you're quite an aggressive driver. As for the back of the sidewall getting ripped, it seems that your tire size is under-sized. OEM tires have 93 load rating and I checked Falken's website and found out that their 225/40/18 only have 88 load rating. The increased stress on the tires might have caused this and it's only natural that the front tires are worse because there is more weight in the front, where the engine is.

I have more questions for you. What is your tire pressure set at? What is the width of your wheels? Who installed the tires and wheels onto your car?

I have Falken 451...they are the loudest tire I have ever used in my life, louder than my winter tires. They are dangerous in the rain and run wayyyy too hot in the dry. I called Falken asking why they are down to wear bars within 2 summers of driving and they replyed with..."thats why we discontiuned the 451's, they wear way too fast. The replacment is a 452."

Don't bother with Falken....BFG all the way

BTW I run a 245/40/18 on a 18x8
