Couple tire questions

1) What are the advantages and disadvantages to a wider tire size? (I'm thinking 235 vs 245 on 8" rim)

2) Any sacrifices to a run-flat tire besides the additional weight and price?

I'm thinking about things like grip, comfort, looks, and economy. TireRack says they'll both fit and I figure they're both within acceptable rolling diameters, but I don't want any rubbing issues or tires coming off the rim. Thanks

Scratch the second question, supposedly you need to check the tire pressure often to detect slow leaks (something I should do more often anyway I guess).
