I'm looking for rims to come in the future and I've really started to like the mesh look. I'm thinking of MSR 103 series. I wanted g35's but everyone seems to have them now. My questions are that I have a black 98se and Im not sure if I should go with the black rim or the silver. I can't see the look of the silver but here's the pic of the black rim.



I'm thinking 18x7.5 with 225/40/18 tires. Just wanted some opinions on the color scheme. I wouldnt go complete black rim but the center and the lip have the chrome look so I was thinking it would give a nice contrast...I'm just not sure. I dont have photoshop so I cant shop them unfortunately.

IMO, black rims on a black car are , especially if they have a polished lip. Just my personal opinion though. If you are looking for a more classy look, go with a "hyper-black" (polished gunmetal, more or less) or a silver, in my opinion.

As to the G rims, I agree...too many people have them. I'll take some of the blame for that since I started the sticky thread about them and have 2 different sets of them (17's and 18's) and was one of the first few people to have them

As to size:
If going aftermarket, at LEAST go to an 8" wide rim with a 235/40/18 tire. Otherwise you might as well stay stock. Best offsets are 30-35mm if you want them to be more flush with the side of the car.

For example, the G35 18s are 18x8 with a 30mm offset...and you know they look pretty good

Yeah i read something about re-uploading to imageshack or such. idk what that deal is. Anyways, I appreciate the input on the rims. I was also thinking it would be a rice look which I do not want. I'll probably go silver because the rim isnt offered in other colors (black, silver, white). The 18's for the MSR 103 series is only 18x7.5 nothing bigger. Is that really an issue tho?
