I need new tires

Ok here is the deal. I need to get new tires for my 01-SE-45K. I need tires so bad that when I come off an exit my cars slides (in the rain) out into the road. With that said I have been looking into OE tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE92). That’s about $150 per tire.

So me being the type of person that I am I started looking into some wheel and tire packages (wheelmax.com) and turns out that I can get wheels and tires for the price of some new tires.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

The Potenza RE92 is crap, so don't even bother purchasing new ones. With that said, any tires in OEM size should not cost more than $150 installed. Edgeracing.com has good prices on 225/50/17 tires. The Hankook Ventus Hrii H405 is just okay if you're on a budget, but if you can afford it, I'd recommend the Toyo Proxes 4.

"With that said, any tires in OEM size should not cost more than $150 installed." You mean $150 per tire?

The only positive that the OEM bridgestones had was the stiff sidewall. There are a lot of better tires out there then the potenzas, but very few have the sidewall stiffness of the potenza. I've heard the poxes 4 are noisy so I stayed away from them. I have yet to decide on a tire yet.
