What are my options for tires sizes on a stock 17" rim?

As the title states, what are my options?

My car is bone stock and im planning on picking up some all seasons (havent figured out what brand to get)

I might lower my car next year...just hesitant on it cause its still under warranty.

if i went 235 or 245/45/17 will it wvoid my warranty since its off spec?>

Most tire warranties aren't worth the paper they are written on. Instead, I'd recommend getting road hazard at the tire shop you get the tires. I paid 8% of the tire cost on my last set for my wife's van and she "cashed in" 8K miles later. It only cost $34 to replace a $160 tire.

235/45R17 will be fine, but 245/45R17 on a 7 inch wide wheel is for idiots.

Both 215/50/17 and 215/55/17 will be fine. As you said, the 55 series is OEM GLE size, and the 215/50/17 is for people who wants firm sidewalls for winter tires.
