my cousins 17's fit on his VW R32 with his massive front barkes w no prob.. but hes got new ones and i put them on my max and took sum measurements and need to know if the 300z w cobra rotor will work...
from the rotor to the spoke which is consistant all the way to the lip is like a little more than 2 1/2 inches...
from the top of the rotor to the actual rim clearence is 2 and 1/4 inches..
will the bbk fit w/o spacers?? thanks

What is the wheel width and offset? I dont remember the exact measurements needed, but with the z32 setup w/6th gen rotors (1/2" smaller than Cobra rotors) Mine just barely fit inside my 17x8 35mm offset 5zigen fno1r-c's...
rotor to spoke is only 2.5"? If that is accurate, you sure the stock caliper clears? I hope you mean outside of the caliper to inside of the spoke is 2.5". If so there's a good chance they will work.
I just measured. You need to about 7" out from the center of the hub, and then measure out from the face of the rotor to the inside of the wheel spoke at that point. If you have 2.5" you should be good to go.
sorry guys i didnt even know wut they were..... lol their ronin by teckademics, 17x7.5 either 42 or 45 mm...
the teckademics site is down but heres a pic and sum specs

doesn't look like it'll fit to me.
It might fit the VW because of it's different hub... yayayayadadada mean?

You can't do much more than a wild guess at whether a wheel will fit or not because of the offset and thickness. Generally most FWD wheels are shaped similarly, but I've seen 17x7+45mm have over an inch more spoke clearance than a 17x9+35mm.
What you need to know is exactly what the guy already measured in the first post.. You need to MEASURE clearance from the disc face to the inside of the wheel at the outer edge of the rotor.

Keep in mind that diagram is for my BBK and not the Cobra rotors. The Cobra rotors are slightly larger (only 0.2" in radius, but still larger), and they have about 1/4" less offset than the Maxima rotors I use. Thus, when I say you'll need 2.5" of clearance to fit my kit, you'll need roughly 2 3/4" of clearance to fit the Cobra rotor under the same wheel.
Make sense?
probly gonan go with the q45 to save the hassle.. one of my buddies at auto zones gonna order them for me for 160 loaded, and he says hell be able to send in the oem maximas as cores.. so well see..
thanks guys
