Anyone recommend tires for stock 96 se 15" rims?
I have fuzion hri's on my car now. They were good for the price but they weren't great in rain and the treadwear kind of sucks. I don't think I have even 25,000 miles on these and they already need to be replaced. I can't seem to find any of the good tires i've read about on the org in the size I need. I heard the continental extremes were good but they don't come in the size I need. I also need something that isn't horrible in snow. BTW the stock size is 215/60-15. Any suggestions?

Cash isn't really an issue as long as they aren't rediculously expensive. I'm really looking for an all season tire and not a snow tire at least until I pick up some rims. I need something with good all around traction which includes rain and snow. I'd also like something with decent treadwear. My fuzions wore out pretty fast. I'm in FL for now so snow isn't an issue at the moment but i'll be back up in NY in january so I will have to deal with snow then.

I'd say the Bridgestones then...they aren't amazingly expensive...however they are on the pricier side of the spectrum....they will grip like a **** tho...
oh another concern...are you looking for ultimate dry traction? if you just wanna cruise in some decent gripping tires...then the bridgestones would be wasting money....
you just have to lay out what exactly you want in a tire....
1. Traction (dry/rain/snow)
2. Price
3. Treadware
4. Quietness
etc...

Sorry I forgot to clarify that. Yes I want as good dry traction as I can get. The main thing i'm looking for is traction. Second would be treadwear. I have an intake and exhaust so noise doesn't really bother me.

i know im prolly going to get flamed for this but I just got BF Goodrich Traction T/As installed in mine from Sam's club. They seem to be doing a very good job. I drove around in pouring rain and a little snow and such and the tires seem to be holding the road really good. These were for stock 1997 GLE rims .

Thanks for the suggestions. I took a look on tirerack.com and found the bridgestones but there is no rating on them for snow. Does anyone have any experience with these tires in the snow? If they are good in snow i'll get those.

how did u get sears to match tirerack's price ??? I thought they only matched the prices for online stores with local retail outlets like discount tires and so on..... I paid 76 per at Sam's Club for them installed .

I am still running the 15" sawblades and it was a coin toss for me between buying the Yokohama Avid H4S and the BF Goodrich Traction TAs. I ended up going with the Avid H4S because I got them at a blowout price locally.
For me, snow traction was not a consideration.
I would be inclined to go for the BF Goodrich Traction TAs if I were you.
