any guesses on what these wheels are???

I just picked them up for $200 wheels & tires. They're 17x7", but no idea what brand they are. The guy said he bought them at Town Fair Tire. Any guesses?

Well it's CLOSE to a Motegi MR7, but isn't. Mainly because where the spokes meet the hub, they would be smooth instead of having the edges. Motegi also uses a center cap with a M on it, and will mark it's rims with the series name.

I have seen 2 other companies that make similar rims, though their names are not surfacing right now. Check www.wheelmax.com I believe I saw a similar set on there.

Has just as many holes as mine. Though I have yet to determine what the extras were for.
Except they do become a headache when putting the wheel on sometimes. I've lost count how many times I'll come to the end of a job, be putting the wheel back on, and miss the stupid hole that has the stud.

dang haven't you guys heard of universal lug pattern wheels before?

anyhow, they look exactly like a 5Zigen GT-8 which is an old azz wheel that I wanted really bad back around '98-ish - probably a knock off of that wheel (hell that wheel was probably a knockoff of some more expensive wheel, though I haven't seen that style among any of the higher quality manufacturers that I can remember).

Here's a 5Zigen GT-8

we all know what universal lugholes are. The commentary was on how universal lugholes are. I mean....do you often switch your wheels from your Nissan to your Honda? Personally, I just think they look silly.

yea, they do look pretty ugly, but I had to take my 19s off. These were cheap.

They don't do it for the consumer, the manufacturer does it for themselves to lower costs. They can make one set of wheels that can be sold for two different bolt patterns rather than having to have two different sets to meet that need.

MR7s have 7 broader spokes, these wheels have 8 narrower spokes.

yes, I realize that as well. Thought I would be a bit hesitant to buy from any wheel manufacturer who is so concerned with cost-cutting......

That, of course, brings up the question "WHY THE HELL DON'T THE CAR COMPANIES STANDARDIZE LUG BOLT PATTERNS ALREADY"

I'm just bitter because nobody makes any wheels with the 4x3.75" lug pattern that my old Brit cars use

a manufacturer should be imprinted on the inside of the wheel somewhere.

No...I tried that already. These things are pretty generic.

many wheel manufacturers you two bolt patterns. This is not a new concept. I actually didn't buy these because I liked them. I bought them because I have a set of 2k2 wheels coming and needed tires. I bought this set with like-new tires for $200. My plan is to get the tires switched over and sell these...or scrap them! Scrap metal is high right now. I could probably get $100 for them just in scrap.

I'd give you 100 for those rims if you decide to ship. Looks way better than my stockers anyway.
