Hey guys Im picking up 4 6th gen SE rims for $300 w/ no tires. Now I plan on keeping these on till I sell the car and that wont be for a while. So I need good all season tires but I dont want to spend that much but at the same time I dont want cheap stuff. I have potenzas re92s on my 17s right now and they suck a$$ in the snow and I dont want to have similiar problems with these new tires Im about to buy.

Whats a good tire size to buy along with brand? Keep in mind these will be used in the summer and winter both. I put on roughly 8k miles a year. Let me know, thanks.

You will not have rubbing issues. A34 wheel size is 18x7.5". I would go w/ a 235-40. They come wrapped in 245-45's, but that might throw your speedometer off a touch. Also, maybe try 245-40-18's. Seems like a good size for a 5th gen.

yea I figured I would keep it at 245/45 and I never considered 235/40 but I'll check it out...thanks for the feedback. Any specific brands to consider? I was thinking Continentals Extremeconti?

Read the reviews on tirerack.

235-40 would be too thin IMO.

yea 245/45 results in the mph being less than what it should be. 245/40 offers the most accurate speedometer reading with only 0.55% diameter difference.

Cool now I know what to stick with

your speedo is not going to be thrown off by that much...that is if you opt for 245/45/18...245/40/18 would be a better fit for our 5th gens

the continentals are a good choice...another good contender is the Pirelli PZERO NERO M&S....if you want a little bit cheaper, try out Kumho ASX...
