SSR comps also go under the name "type-c" if you haven't heard that already...

Still, 21lbs is too heavy IMO, but whatever floats your boat...

thanks !! i am not in a rush. my 1st choice is still SSR comps. if i dont find those within the next few months, then i guess ill go with the g games. i consider 21 lbs on the lighter side of the spectrum but there is definetly room for lighter.

+1 on those wheels. those are great choices for lightweight 18s.

They are discontinued but my wheels are pretty light. Enkei RP02 18x8, supposed 18.8 lbs each. They were 47 lbs with falken 451's, but there down to 45 or so now. They were about $130 each, maybe less.

Yeah tires in most cases are heavier then the rim, unless your running 14's. I know my michelins are 23lbs each, and the rims is only 15.7lbs each. Thats the other thing you should look at, not just rim weight but the weight of the actual tire. My new tires (235/45/17) are almost the same size..very small diff compared to my 215/55/16, and my 215's were 3lbs heavier per tire. My new wheel/tire combo is almost 7-8lbs lighter then my stockers.

I second that

[QUOTE=BLACKonBLACK98;5003363 the nismo altima 18s. they are light (17.6 lbs) and are forged 1 pc.[/QUOTE]

I got them brand new for $600 shipped. There are 18X8.5 45offset made by Rays/Volks. Yes the offset is high, but it is equivalent to the 17X8 38offset I previously had. The back could be out a little, but the front is perfect.
They do not rub with my 235 40 18 Conti Sport 2. Best, myy combo weighs 38.6 lbs at each corner and look good.

in 235/40/18 (technically a better size for the max) they're just under 23lbs

i'm sure the ZE-329 has a good treadwear rating, but it will be a horrible tire compared to the T1R.. hell even for a crappy A/S tire i refuse to get anything above a 400TW, it'd be a shame to pair such a good, light wheel with a performance oriented economy tire IMO, but obviously it's your $$ and your car

trust me if you want traction/performance you'd be waaay better off getting a 235/40 T1R than a 245/40 ZE-329... but if you're looking purely for least weight for the buck then go for the falkens

personally i want to mount some RT615s on something so i can get mad tyte street cred yo... but that will come all in due time

its funny rich. toyo rates them heavier on their site. how many miles can you squeeze out of the toyo's? the falkens last 30,000. i know that they arent great performance wise either
