Haha.

FWIW, Tirerack has a list of what rims will clear certain BBK's. My current O.Z. rims were not on the list. I called them and they quickly said, "Sorry, those rims aren't on the list, they won't clear the Brembo's" After I sent them a profile of the Brembo BBK, and after many phone calls, they contacted their CAD department, and they merged my Brembo profile (Thanks Cattman!) with the rim profile, and they determined that the rims would clear the BBK. My hunch was right!! Point being, don't always trust what Tirerack says fits and what doesn't fit.

In my first instance with Tirerack, they listed the Tracklites with fitting a 4th gen (I had OEM brakes back then FWIW) They were wrong. This is why I pushed so hard when I changed my brakes to Brembo's/got new rims...I knew they had been wrong in the past.

Anyway, here's why the Tracklites didn't fit on my max... Spacers will not fix the problem.......well maybe enormous ones LOL.

I fail to see your point. Forged = stronger, so that was my point. Any wheel is susceptible to damage, so unless you drive like an idiot, you'll be fine

Considering what I paid for them, I'm not planning on flying off any cliffs.

I already posted your link Wizard . But good helping with the pics.

Yeah, I saw your link and should've acknowledged it. I just wanted to share my Brembo/O.Z. story with Mike so that he can see Tirerack was 0 for 2 with me; and to also show pictures just in case anyone reading is even thinking about trying those Tracklites on a 4th gen.

Don't associate weight of a rim to strength. Strength (I believe) is totally independent of weight and dependent on how it's made. ie forged, cast etc. If they made 10 lb forged (and affordable of course) rims, I'd buy them and wouldn't be scared to drive on them.

You kno that if you flip your caliper around, you can measure the inside diameter of your wheel instead of using the ruler and making me use my math skills to subtract?

I've hit plenty of holes that made me . But my 245-45's seem to be quite forgiving.

I got them for function over form. Since, at the time, I couldn't find SSR comps. So, they function well for me.

Now they are. But when I was in the market, they had gone away. I got a similarly weighted wheel that doesn't look as cool.

5mm in front, 15 in rear if I was to get 'em.

hmm, I did the same thing when I couldn't figure out why tire rack said a set of 16" BBS RX rims wouldn't fit my car. Offset and bolt pattern was good, size was fine, etc.

Turns out the wheel studs are too short for that type of wheels bolt pattern design and I couldn't get a lug on them. Not sure if A32 or A33 Maxima's wheel stud is any longer than the standard M12 stud... But now I have to buy all new Nismo one's to get them to fit...

but since you already had aftermarket rims I assume you replaced the studs? Or are you running stock (to OP)

the tech center at tirerack looked into it and they think the 17" with 45 profile on 235 width will be a "bubbly" tire and its sides would rub the suspension and fenders... what do you guys think?
