set of 07 maxima alloys will fit my 97 GLE ?

a set of 07 maxima alloys STRAIGHT OFF A NEW CAR just became available to me for 600 bux. its a sick deal.

4 brand new goodyear RSA tires 245/45/18 with all 4 alloys that have been drivin less than 2k.

will these fit my car?

are goodyear RSA tires good?

do i need spacers or somethign to adjust to the 245 width?

basically, what else am i going to need or going to have to worry about when buying these?

is there a downside?

I'm not sure about the fit.

But the RSA's are an okay tire. They're not bad - but for the price of new rubber you could do much better than the RSA's.

if you look through the forums there's a lot of complaints about the tires, but I still use em

600 for 07 rims/tires is an amazing deal!! I paid more than that for my Altima Rims (winter rims on my 04 max).

1. Yes they will fit your car but I am not a fan of the design of the newer 7 and 8 spoke wheels.
2. RSA's suck...I have them on the rears and they are unevenly worn and have craking sidewalls....
3. You shouldn't need spacers, they are usually a cosmetic mod.
4. You will need a drop...

you mean for like cosmetic issues? or there actually a reason to have a drop other than looks? if i were to drop any car it wouldnt be more thanan inch.

yes it will fit. no you will not have rubbing issues with 245 tires. i would highly encourage a drop to get rid of the even higher 4x4 stance with the 18s.

im a noob......and i dont get it. how would the stance appear HIGHER with bigger alloys? if anything it should appear to be less of a gap, even tho its the same...

if you buy the right tire, its the same overall diameter, the distance from the well to the edge of the tire would be the same right?

personally i dont think drops look that good, unless they are done minimally (.5" to 1") in addition to the fact that they prematurely wear out suspension and whatnot.

suspension (because my OEM setup only has 40k on it) was one of the last things i was going to **** with - way after i bought a set of tires/rims

am i wrong?

if you maintain the overall diameter the gap will remain the same, but can APPEAR larger depending on the wheel. drops on the 4th gen are pretty much mandatory for cosmetic reasons, and even a small drop helps. performance is also substantially improved by even the mildest drop. premature wear only becomes an issue with the more aggressive drops, due to changes in geometry.

I agree completely. Look at the link of my car below. I put my new rims on my car last weekend to see how they look....and yes, on stock suspension. The wheelgap is horrid and the larger the rim size, the higher off the ground the car gets, giving it the 4x4 look. It is up to you, but I say buy a set of springs with a mild drop (Eibach, Tein H-tech, H&R) mated with aftermarket struts/shocks and you feel like you are driving a whole new car. You should not hurt any of your other suspension/drivetrain components with a mild drop. People usually see problems after slamming their car on coilovers.

yea i see what you mean.

its not that bad though. im certainly not gonna be in a rush to do a drop after i get rims. and like ive said before im hittin train tracks like 10 times a day. i had an accord (for two weeks) with 35 tires and a 2 inch drop and hittin those rails was upsetting, to say the least.

apples and oranges. you can retain a fair level of comfort in a maxima.
