Loose tire belt

I have Cooper tires that were installed a couple years ago. One of the front tires has a loose belt, which causes my steering wheel to wobble a little bit. Is this fix-able at a mechanic, or do I have to get a whole new tire?

Belts are internal and cannot be repaired. The only things that can be repaired are some punctures in the tread that are not too close to the sidewall. Start looking for a new one.

Get your car off the road right away and replace that tire.
