Tire wear question
Is the uneven wear smooth or choppy? Generally camber is going to wear them out smoothly and toe gives a choppy feeling to the tires. Either way something is out of wack with the alignment and its not like you pay for each adjustment so I recommend getting the alignment done. Wherever you take it they can provide you a printout of whats going on or even show you the measurements on the screen before they actually start making any adjustments. How long has it been since your last alignment? Most people seem to think that its something you do once when you get a new set of tires or notice something is wrong or hit a curb or something. Normally I would say it should be done/checked every 10k miles or every-other tire rotation.
The wear is smooth on the insides, my car is lowered btw.. I know that has lots to do with the it. Can they fix the wear problem or will i get "oh it's lowered, can't do nothing about that" reply?
Some shops like to say that (means they don't want your business to me!)but you will need to get a camber kit most likely to fix you issue along with the factory adjustment. The issue with wearing new tires incorrectly will go away but the tires you are on now will still continue to wear incorrectly since the wear pattern is already set it with the bad alignment.
any good alignment shop can align a lowered car, depending on the drop, but can only get it as close to OE specs as possible.
btw if you are wearing the inner portion of your tires, you have negative camber, meaning the wheels are angles towards the car (// \\). positive camber means the wheels are angles away from the car (\\ //)wearing down the outer portion of the tire.
toe adjusts the angle the wheel points. ie: toe in: // \\; toe out: \\ //
