Will i have rubbing issues

i was just shopping around the local tire dealers today and quite a few of them said that i will have rubbing issues with the size of tires that i want so i just want to clear this up:

My wheels are 17x8 with a 38mm offset, i want to put 245/45 on them, my rear tires are already 245. According to the computers at these shops the biggest i should go is 235 which is what i am currently on.

Im just trying to get some clarification on if i can go with 245s i dont think anything bigger than this will fit on my current wheels, this is a 4th gen I30 btw

thanks

You can fit 245s on an 8. Different manufacturers may be wider than others but overall fit will be fine. That would be THE widest on an 8. 235 is the recommended size though.

As far as rubbing with 245s, i doubt it.
