Will these fit?

Will wheels that fit a 1999 BWM 540i sports package fit a 98 Maxima? I don't know much about offset & backspacing so any help is greatly appreciated.

The reason I'm asking is there is a set I'm looking at on ebay (millie miglia's) so if they would fit I'd pick em up.

Thanks!!

I think they have different lug pattern, so you will probably need a 15-20mm spacer to convert to euro specs. I'm not sure what their offsets are but I would guess they wont really fit after having that huge spacers in between. Sorry that I'm not really helpful lol.

i think most BMW wheels have extremely low offsets as well, sometimes even negative offsets.

Never really seen many with negative offsets, if at all. But yes generally BMWs have lower offsets than ours since they are RWD...

IIRC all modern bimmers are 5x120mm lug pattern, so you will need a converter.

As for offsets, yes they will be less but certainly not a negative offset. That is just a bad idea from an engineering standpoint, you want the centerline of the wheel to be close to the wheel bearing to prevent excessive runout-type stress and wear.

Thanks guys. I went another route. I picked up a set of 350z 35th anniversary wheels. Now I need to figure out if they need spacers or not lol.
Sorry for the questions guys but being a female & trying to mod a car sometimes don't mix..

You'll be fine with those wheels...no spacers needed...

are they 17s or 18s? i forget. either way these sizes would be preferable for 4th gens on 8" wide wheels:

235/40-18
or
235/45-17

if you want a tad more rubber go with 245s.

235/40 front and 245/40 rear if you dont mind the staggered feel. also will induce a little understeer. if not, 235/40's all around would be sufficient.

I was hoping to do the same all around so if the 235/40's will work on both widths I'm going that route. Thanks for all the help guys
I did send a PM full of questions to a member who has the same wheels on his car I just never heard back yet from him so I thank you guys for helping!!

I think you would need to roll the back fenders if you're lowered or planning to lower.
But you'll look like you're riding 4x4 if you dont lower it with the low profiles. lol
