Just can't seem to get a grip.

Traction that is. i am wanting some opinions on drag radials. I have been thinking about the 205-50-15 BFG drag radial. I am wanting some knowledgable comments on the tire you use or perfer. Cold weather is a big minus on the traction right know though. At the moment i have a pair of Summit Ultra Max HP 215-60-15 on the front. They are nothing special but i had to put something on it after wearing out my other radials. They hooked ok while it was warm but the cold kills them. I have nothing through first gear and spin halfway through second. Any info on experience with drag radials is most appreciated.

Yeah, it all depends on the rim size. We put 275 Nitto 555rs on my bro's full bolt on 4.5 gen and it hooks in 1st when it's at least 50 deg out. And, he has no rubbing even though he's slammed, though this is largely dependent on offset.
