Will 225/50-16's work on 4th gen?

So I have a set of wheels 16x7 40mm offset that I was thinking of using for our son's 4th gen maxima. He bent 2 of his steel wheels. I have access to a set of 225/50-16 BFG Traction T/A's with only about 3k on them. Would this setup work ok for his car?

I know the recommended size is 215/55-16 to be closest to the stock size but like I mentioned I have some 225/50-16's and wasn't sure if they would work on the car or if they would have rubbing issues.

the wheels and tires would fit just fine for a stock maxima.

You should be fine with the 225/50/16's.
