To those with 19's

What tire size are you running? I am thinking about buying a set of forged rays from a g35 and they are 19s. I did the wheel calculator and if I put some 245/40/19s on there then that would be really close to my stock setup. I just dont want a super small sidewall that makes my wheel gap look even larger than it already is. Any suggestions?

thats a good number, but if you want to get rid of more gap, lower the car. IMO though, i dont really favor 19s, tires are too expensive, even more than 20s in some cases.

I have found some tires for 200-300 for 19s and I find 18" tires that cost right about the same. I guess it all depends on the brand.

DO NOT try to run a bigger side wall to close in the gap, I cant stress this enough. It doesn't close the gap that much at all, but itdoes help your car sit higher off the ground and it also throws your speedo off...

Run your certain side wall because it's within specs, or for fender clearance only.

245/45/18 and a 245/40/19 makes the speedo just about the same.

Is getting 19s over 18s worth it? I could get 18" G35 7 spokes or I could get 19" G35 forged.

the 19s would look better. and the 245 40s are a good size for your ride. or if your feeling baller buy my 20s that would look super sick on a 6th gen. gunmetal with a chrome lip, momos.

I just realized you got a 6th gen. 6th gens can take more profile than previous maximas.

If you ask me, if your going for looks only on 6th, go with 20s. Even 22s can work WITH a nice drop.

You wanna retain performance but still like to have a somewhat "filled" look in the wheel wells? go 19s.

The only 18s I like on a 6th gen are the stockers. The wheel wells are bigger on the 6ths, they can take larger wheels and IMHO, need bigger sizes to look good. (and this is coming from someone who hates big wheels)

I may just stick with 18s because I do think the compliment the car well, I just want some 7 spoke G35 18s. I think they look so much better than the 6 spoke like mine.

Section Width: 9.65 9.65 00
Overall Diameter: 25.75 26.72 .97
Circumference: 80.9 83.93 3.03
Revs per mile: 783.17 754.89 -28.28

245/40/19s will be just fine. But 245/35/19s on a dropped Maxima would make it look hotter.
