Powder Coating Vs Painting Rims

I've been told different things about powdercoating and paiting rims. I want something that will last, and not peel, chip, or rub off. I've been told that you cant use certain wheel/rim products are powdercoated rims because they'll rub off the finish. I've been told the same with Painted rims. So whats the best bet to go with?

I've been offered a fee of $50 for each rim powdercoated.

and

$35 for each rim painted/clear coated.

Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks

Same here...I found another place that does them for 40 a wheel and strips them...killer.

Do it, way worth it to powdercoat them..

I'd prefer the powdercoating too... but is there any thing I need to know about taking care of them... for example: avoid certain polishes, or chemicals? etc...

I had one of my winter sets PC'd and love it...

(Painted/filled a stock grille to match)

I paid a little over $200 and that was blasting & PCing them inside and out.

I also had them slightly textured and a very low gloss clear...

Im almost considering having some PC work done to my summer setup...

Opinions?

Mine were full of knicks and scratches too, the bead blasting took care of that.
