Installed 05 SL wheels on 01 GLE - need tire suggestions

Picked up some 17" 05 SL wheels (20k miles on them) since my RE960 tires were wearing out on my 16's. Figured I could kill two birds with one stone by upgrading to 17"s and putting off a tire purchase. Lots of tread left on these conti tires.

Before 215/55/16 93W:

After 225/55/17 95V:

...and now after seeing how big these wheels are you may ask, won't those rub?

Yes, they do. So far only on the right rear. Looks like my best option is to buy new tires for the 17's instead go back to the 16's. I have the Eibach prokit, so I am not sure if that is what is causing my rubbing issue or if the tire itself is just too big.

I'm quite happy with the performance I have had of my Potenza 960's.
Which size would be recommended?
225/45R17 91W <- Leaning towards this.
215/45R17 91W
215/50R17 95W

There's a $75 rebate going on for the RE960's. If someone knows of a cheaper tire which will perform similar or better, please let me know. Planning to go tomorrow to the tire shop and get new tires.

Checked my car and this seems to be the issue mentioned here:

http://forums.maxima.org/6587173-post5.html
The rubbing comes from the mounting tab for the front of the back bumper against the edge of the fender
I do not plan to add spacers nor roll my fender.

Try a 225/50/17 over the 45 and 55s. It is a 5.5 stock size.

Thanks for the suggestion. I wanted to stay away from that size because it was too close to the size which rubs. I went ahead and bought 225/45/17 tires today.
