Need 2000 OEM 17 in rims sizes

I have a 2000 nissan maxima on 17 inch OEM rims. I am currently riding on 255/45 R17s 91W. I would like to know the original size tire that came with the car. Everytime I search it comes up at like 225/50 17 for the OEM. Im curious if I could use a different tire.

those are fine...just one size difference, it wont make or break your maxima.

Thanks. I also was wondering that if I got a good price for 4 tires being mounted on my rims and my car being aligned. Its about 700 after tax.
