Goodyear Eagle GTs
Has anyone tried the Goodyear Eagle Gts? I have had them on my 03 SE (225-50-17) for ~4k miles. So far they have bested the previous Yokohama YK520s (which I never cared for) in wet and dry cornering straight line driving, and road noise.

WRONG!!!! Threadwear is 400!! And expect them to last 50,000miles. That is good life out of a tire that maintains good psi, is rotated and balanced religiously and the alignment is maintained too. Do all these and your GTs will last 50k without much problems. If you don't do burnouts too!

I got these in the same 225/50/17 size about a month after Goodyear released them last summer.
Great combo performance and value. Sidewalls are only real downside-very mushy flex, and at least 1/2" rim protection - actually looks a bit silly they're so thick. Dry traction excellent both straightline and steady state cornering. Hard to break them loose in straightline similar to how a drag slick flexes. Transitional slaloms and lane change sluggish. Wet traction excellent-last 2 days were driving through remains of tropical storm Gustav; tires best I've had equal to S-03s. Been buying non Goodyear 12+ years, and was skeptical til now. Good product Goodyear!
It's now a year later and I still realy like these tires. Durometer rating is still around 70ish putting them on par with some of the Max performance summer tires.
