Removing axle grease from wheels?
My front CV boots exploded a few months back and covered the inside of the wheels with axle grease. Any tips on removing this stuff?

WD-40 actually works really well. Better than anything else I've tried (which includes REALLY hot water + lots of dawn dish soap, wheel cleaner, etc).

wd-40, gasoline, diesel fuel, etc.. use that to get the worst of it off, then use a good wheel cleaner, degreaser, or dish soap to remove the thin film left behind. rinse, repeat, let dry. voila.
