Cooper Zeon RS3-A
Looking at a set of Cooper Zeon RS3-A in a 225/50/17. I'd like to go a smidge taller, but I will probably go with that size since it is stock. Anyone use these? I'm getting older so handeling isn't as priority as it used to be. I need an inexpensive tire thats quite. Any info on these would be much appreciated.

Cooper RS3-A
Probably too late considering that you posted this on 7/31. I decided to get Cooper RS3-A for my 02 maxima se. They have been great so far - good wet and dry traction. They're quiet and aren't too harsh.
I'm just a little concerned that they don't come with a tread wear warranty.

Look like good value-we'll see.
After doing some research I pulled the trigger on these in december.I concluded these tires looked like a good bet, especially given the price and feedback I found(treadepot.com 4x$95-$50 rebate+shipping=$380 total).I think that rebate from Cooper ended before XMas, but even without the rebate the price is competitive vs elsewhere.
The A is UTQG rated at 500 AA A , and the summer S version is 320 AA A I believe. The tread is asymmetric rather than directional, so they can be cross rotated, and tests/reviews indicate they do well in the dry(<S) and are excellent in the wet(>S), which I care more about -as long as they don't suck in the dry.
I can't personally confirm the performance jg-ct mentioned yet as they're sitting in my basement, and won't be on the car til Spring, but thought I'd pass along the info for those in warmer parts who might be in the market for rubbers.

Update
Installed these on the car and drove in the dry yesterday and in heavy rain today. I didn't push the car in the dry as I had my winter tires/wheels in the trunk and back seat. Seem to be quiet, and the tires aren't squirrelly on rutted or ridged road surfaces. Excellent traction in the wet, both on acceleration and braking. So far they're looking like a solid choice.
