So I got some after market 17x7 + 40 wheels the other day..and I have a friend who has a set of brand new BF Goodrich Tractions TA 215/60/17 he will sell me for 200. Been doing some research about it.. Only question I have is will these be ok overall? I'm not to worried about the speedo being off..I'm stock height right now just want a comfortable ride and to fill up the wheel Wells but don't want a floaty ride or over bulky tire..any input is great!

Don't do it. I know you said you don't care about speedo being off, but it's way off. The overall diameter is about 2" more than stock.

With a 17x7 wheel, I'd look for 215/50r17 tires. It will still be a comfortable ride.

There's my opinion.

Cool that's around the answer I was looking for..so not 215/55/17 or 225/50/17... Why do you recommend smaller than stock? Oh and forgot to say I probably will not drop the car so 60s rub on stock?

For 17's, I'd go with a 45 series sidewall.

Normally, yes. He's only got 17x7 wheels. 215/50r17 would be the right size for that wheel. But, you could go with 225/45r17 and be fine.

No more guessing, look it up and you'll see if it works. You can do it.

Go only with:

215/50/17 -->Recommended. (In terms of diameter difference from stock)
225/45/17 -->Third Choice.
235/45/17-->Second Choice.

Just my 2 cents.
