What backspacing should I order them with? They are just two regular steel wheels.

I really need an answer to this question.

With your traction bars on, 4 inches BS is about as far as you can go and still turn a reasonable corner. And yes, I'm still loving your traction bars....

Well thank you. I'm thinking of doing another set for this car.

What is a reasonable middle? I don't mind them sticking out a bit. I just want them to clear the brake calipers and such. What would you order them with?

I'm using the American Racing AR-23 wheel, 15x8" and 3.75" backspacing. These clear the calipers. Also, I have used AR Outlaw II 15x8" 4" BS wheels but I had to grind a gloove in the backside of each wheel to clear the caliper. They would touch on the brace that spans the outside of the caliper. It could be kinda tight for some wheels - and I've noticed that not all 4th gen brake calipers are located the same. There is also a difference in how wheels are made - the shape of the wheel on the inside can curve badly inwards or be almost straight out to the rim part, and that's the place that touches the caliper. In my limited experience. I have a set of ASA 16x7.5 wheels holding a pair of BFG DRs with 9.7" on the ground, and these wheels clear no problem. Both slicks and DRs rub on the bars, though.

So 3.5" or 3.25" backspacing is what I should go with? Or should I go the other way, 4.25 or 4.5" backspacing?
