+35mm or +45mm offset on 22x8.5 wheels? (7th gen)
I need to decide on wheels very soon and I'm wondering if anyone has any rubbing issues with 22x8.5 wheels with +45mm offset on 245/30 tires? The wheels I'm interested in come in +35 and +45mm offsets and I'm not sure which one to go with. I was able to find someone who has +35 and he said there is some slight rubbing on dips/bumps. Would going to +45 help or hurt with this? Thanks a lot for any responses.

Sorry for hijacking this thread but I figured I would since there hasn't been a post since 2012.
I've been doing some research and can't get to the bottom of it. Possibly because I still don't understand.
Here's the situation:
Drive: 2010 Maxima 3.5 SV Tech
Stock Wheels: 19 x 8 with 66.1 bore and +50 offset??? Still not sure on this one.
Eibach springs are going to be installed soon.
The wheel's I'm looking at are available in the following sizes in 5x114.3:
20x8.5 5X114.3 +35
20x9 5X114.3 +32/+20
20x10 5X114.3 +35
20x10.5 5X114.3 +27
Question is what size should I be going with to have a good flush with the fenders, without rubbing?
I was thinking 20x9 for the front and 20x10.5 for the rear. But with a wider wheel and lower offset than OEM, I'm not sure how it would fit? Or should I consider same size all around?
Please help because I'm in a gut.

I have 20x9 et30 on eibachs, and I rub the fenders over large dips/bumps. 255/35/20 tires
If you want to stretch tires and/or add camber you could run the same with no problem. The same size all the way around lets you rotate your tires and nearly double their life. It also does not hurt handling like staggered does.
20x8.5 5X114.3 +35- Good fitment. Will never have problems.
20x9 5X114.3 +32- Best fitment and looks without any work, or sacrifices.
20x9 5X114.3 +20- Sticks out. Would need stretched tires and camber
20x10 5X114.3 +35- Could work in the rear. Might need mild stretch/camber, or deal with rubbing on bumps. Would look good.
20x10.5 5X114.3 +27- Will stick out. Need moderate stretch. Don't recommend.

to see how far out new wheels will sit compared to what you have. Then you can measure the distance from your current wheels to the fender to see how much tuck or poke there may be.
Remember, when you lower your car, the wheels will pull in a little due to suspension design.

With this info I'll be going with
20 x 9 +32 Front
20 x 10 +35 rear
Now talking tires...

I would probably do a 255 in the front. I don't like the stretched look, and a 255 is still a little in from vertical.
If you plan on going even lower, or like a little stretch, then a 245 is fine. It will hurt ride quality though.
That is the size I would use in the rear. Again, you could do a 265 if you want more stretch.
