The place I'm buying my new wheels from told me I don't need hub rings because they are lug centric and will perfectly center when I tighten down the lugs. I've never not used hub rings...does this make any sense? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Hm well apparently you technically won't need them but it wouldn't hurt to get them. Hub rings are cheap as ****.Originally Posted by wope

i got mine for $8.....technically if you slowly tighten all the lug nuts in the star pattern the wheel will align itself...but if a shop just throws them on w thier gun it can be off centeredOriginally Posted by ChrisMan287

So, using hub rings can't hurt, right? I guess thats the main thing I was asking.

All wheels with cone seat technically can be centered using the lugs but the hub centric ring makes it fool proof. If you have them - use them.
