Need Help Replacing my Bulb in my Cluster; 03 Maxima

Hello,

I'm at a stand still. I removed my instrument cluster to replace the bulbs with my LED [(#74-CWHP3)] bulbs. Well, the problem I have is that the bulbs are EXTREMELY HARD to come out to the point that I had to use pliers to take it out, and that didn't work (even broke a bulb). I even brought some Multi Purpose Light Bulb Dorman (http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/MC/6725-07140551.html)
but their bulb are also hard to come out. Now, only half of the lights in my cluster is working. Am I don't something wrong here? I don't want to sound like a wimp or anything, but they're very hard to come out.

Any help or suggestion is definitely appreciated!

Thanks,

Julian

Did you try turning them, then pulling it out?

QueensMax, I tried wiggling it, but not turn it because I didn't want to break it.

I've broken many bulbs. Finally ended up buying a sued cluster in the classifieds.

I need to try that Fixer.

What the_fixer said is what works best. Use clear packing tape for best results.

I must say, The_Fixer, you sure know what you're talking about! It worked like a charm! I thank you for that! I took out the bulb, replaced with the LED light and it's still not working! I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I brought new Multi Purpose Light Bulb Dorman(s), and it's still not working. Does anyone have any results about this?

Try twisting it/turning it in the socket. Gotta find that sweet spot.

LEDs have to be put in a certain way. Did you try rotating them 180* and reinserting them to see if they light up? I had to do that with my LED driving lights. They are polarity sensitive.

I tried to 180° them and they're still not working. I even brought new Dorman Multi Purpose Light Bulb for my cluster and replace the stock bulb with my LED bulb and they still doesn't work. Can anyone confirm what is the exact type of LED bulb that will fit in my 03 Nissan Maxima GLE??
