It IS A35, not sure where the A36 is coming from, but it is incorrect.

If you search on Google for "maxima a35" vs. "maxima a36" you'll see quite a few hits for both. I've seen it referenced as A36 more often but regarding official designation I have no idea. A35 makes more sense to me too.

oldngivout - where are you sourcing your info from? I see you're a Nissan tech AND live in TN so presumably from the horse's mouth?

yeah on a few forums i saw its noted as an a36 too
