The caveat here is that not all of these models use the same kelvin temp of the LED itself, so it could potentially be 5000K or 6000K. Does it seem bluish at all in person down below the cutoff line?

Yes. I'm looking at replacing the halogen fog lights with LEDs. It bugs me that the fogs are yellowish and don't match the LED headlights. The LED bulbs that I like and that are very bright are 6000k. I'm thinking that even if the headlight LEDs are 5000k, it will be close enough, and still will look better than the halogen fog bulbs. What do you think?

I agree with you for sure. LEDs always seem to look bluer than they actually are, so I think you're in good standing if you go with a 6000K fog light bulb.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get the DRL's to match the stock LED headlights? It would have been nice if Nissan gave the DRLs more of a blue-ish tint as well as easier access to change bulbs associated with the headlight piece.

Yeah, it's like Nissan doesn't even want you to mess with any of the lights. The owner's manual states if you need any bulbs replaced to "see your Nissan dealer". Really?! I don't think so. If I'm able to get to it, I'm going to.

I had just seen your post after I asked you haha! Thanks for the info. Ill probably do the same if all goes well for you. With those bulbs is it where you just take out the old ones, place the new ones in and that's it?! I replaced my reverse and license plate bulbs for LEDs and it was that easy.
Sucks cause I don't even use the fog lights. I think they look so tacky and embarrasing looking when lit with the led headlights and DRls.

Yes. That's it. They are "plug and play" supposedly. Once you change the fog lights to LEDs, you should be able to use your fog lights "tacky free".
Can you give me a link to the reverse lights and license plate lights LEDs that you used? How did you access the reverse lights?

To access lights just take out about 6-8 clips from the trunk cover to expose the bulbs and switch them out. It was ridiculously easy and those bulbs are top notch. This advice was recieved by the help of a forum member. The LEDs definitely add a nice touch, especially the license plate. It shines brightly to the ground. I love it. Keep us updated on how the fog lights go!!

Thank you very much. I assume that the bright reverse lights would be helpful for the backup camera at night. My only concern with changing the license plate lights out was that it would be too overpowering for the back of the car and perhaps detract from the "nighttime esthetics" of the rear of the car. Apparently that's not the case.

Oh yes I forgot to mention that it helps immensely when reversing at night. I see a lot clearer further. Its great cause i back up into my garage to park with more confidence.
BobTX10, You wanted to be kept posted, so I'm letting you know that I installed the LED fog light bulbs today. They are crazy bright. It took about 20 minutes and it was pretty straight forward.

These LED bulbs pictured above, are they right out of the Maxima? Or a Murano? I was considering putting in demon eyes in my Platinum, but the LED bulb isn't serviceable according to the service manuals. Are the LEDs projectors difficult to remove? I have to pull the lens off regardless as I'm also installing Diode Dynamics Switchback LED board for the DRLs. Thinking about doing both at the same time while I have the lens off.

I know this is an old thread, but can someone educate me on the headlights in the 16-18 maximas. I know the higher trims have led headlights. My sv does not, but could you just purchase oem led's for let's say a 17 platinum, and just out them in an 18 sv?
