new PB autotrash finally got 15's!! lol

ok so i went to great lakes dragstrip tonight all by myself it turned out to be an awsome night to go there was like maybe 20 people there total all night i got in 10 runs in the first hour and thats with stopping to let my car cool walk to the bathroom grap a hotdog and soda and all that great stuff. So anyway sense my girl didnt want to sit in the stand by herself and she was being an *** and wouldnt get out of my car i was stuck running 16.1's. after a long time convincing her she finally got out and let me run it by myself. mind you 16.1 was my fastest time to date by myself the previous time the crew went on the 3rd. ill just cut to the chase i ended up gettin a perfect launch for my slow POS and shifted it manually at redline into 2nd gear and 6250rpm into 3rd gear worked awsome to cut out that 3rd gear bogg crap that i had problems with before. now with that said here is my best et time of the night and my new best (still isnt the greatest)
R/t - .441
60' - 2.34
1/8 - 10.17@70.61
1000 - 13.19
1/4 - 15.76@87.77
im so proud of myself i finally got into the 15's now next is to try for 15.5. cant wait for tuesday to roll around so i can run again with all yall midwest peeps again. is there anyone thats going that has some 15" rims that i can use for a few runs? i just wanna see how much of a differnce that makes -ryan

idk about any exhaust leak ?? but yes they let me run with another person, you just cant have anyone sitting in back. that did ruin the rest of my times but i sure dont wanna leave her in the stands with all the dudes looking for car chicks it was bad enough 2 guys were trying to talk to her when i was in the staging lanes lol(she was outside). either way i hope to improve my times for next time i go which will be the 28th. i want to match if not beat my 15.7 next time so lets prey for cold weather -ryan

Don't worry about it. I'm just so busy it's hard for me to justify driving all the way down there. I'm still in for the 28th though!!

Rule of thumb... for every 100 lbs you shed, you shed .10 off your time... sounds like your girl weighed about 400 pounds, or the Y pipe really worked

Try taking those 60' times down a little more and you'll lower your et just a bit more. With practice you'll be able to hit 15.5's or so... good luck

cool j, im still running the stock 16" SE rims. maximaintheface, i did not run stock but i ran w/o my y pipe on the 3rd of this month and couldnt break a 16.1@84 and i only got that once. ant96gle hahaha sounds like a good theory there but she only weighs 120lbs, so i guess the y pipe wooped some a$$ or somthing idk how it can make that huge of a differnce. basically i went from running consistant 16.2's to running consistant 15.7's now thats a .5 differnce!!! idk about anyone else but i think thats the biggest gain ive ever seen in the QM with just adding a y pipe to current mods. either way i love that thing and im gonna experiment some more off the line and whatnot to try and get the good ol 60' time down a bit. -ryan

cool, i am probably going to go to the track for the first time on the first saturday of october at sacramento raceway my only performance mod is a y pipe and i should be getting my new rims today which are lighter. i'm hoping i can get around 15.5 and in the 2.2x range for the 60' time but i doubt that since you have way more mods than me.
