WTF still no 13's

So I went to the track tonight to test out my new mods: 2.5" exhaust, regapped plugs, mazda wheels, walbro fuel pump and afpr

everything was going well I spun alittle but no biggy till my afpr took a crap during the run, I still ran a 14.0 but WTF. I was checking my vac line cause the car was idling crazy and would not hold a steady rpm when I pulled the vac line from the afpr gas starting coming out so I rigged it up to get home and I will return the afpr in the morining

here's how I ran spinning off the line and with a bad afpr, one good thing my mph went up almost 3mph from my last run

60ft: 2.1
330: 5.8
1/8: 8.9
mph: 77.5
1000: 11.7
1/4: 14.0
mph: 95.98

Your mph is alittle low, I was hitting 14.4 at 95mph with 50 shot and 2.2 60'. Only mods was intake and ypipe with 2 step colder plugs.

Don't worry tom you'll get there. I agree though I still don't understand why your mph is so low?? Even when you did the 14.3 your were trapping at 93.At 14.0 you should be trapping at least 98mph. I really think you need a tune.

then I am only 2mph off and like I said my afpr went ape sh@t during the run so maybe I would have trapped higher

also I return the afpr this morning

Did you have any problems returning the afpr? And did you get a new one?

Trust me I read. Still donesn't change the fact at even when he was 3mph slower from last 1/4 run, he was still running way to slow on the top end.

Read that again. His afpr went out mid way through the run, which explains why the car wasn't running right all the way through. He would have been in the 13s if it weren't for that.

What you are not getting is that with his previous setup on 75 shot he was only trapping 92mph when he should have been trapping 97.5+. That in itself whats wrong.

How was I supposed to know that, exactly?

It was actually a 65 shot and he trapped at 94(still a little low for a 14.3). That was before he changed his b-pipe, so he should trap at the right mph now. The stock b-pipe was really holding him back imho.

When I was running an 80 shot of nitrous on my 4th gen, I was running 13.7@100. I was averaging 1.95 60 ft's on slicks, spinning. My 1/8 was around 8.7, and around 82-83mph. I was running similar mods to yours, except I had a mobiltek stage 2 valvebody. I think you are on the cusp of reaching the elusive 13.9X. What RPM are you launching at?

I'm with him usually when he runs and he always get's 2.0's, so thats about as good as its going to get on street tires.

with my old setup I did not have a exhaust and my plug gap was too wide, these 2 things with both hurt your top end

was that a 80shot with zex or nx, cause a 50shot with a nx kit is = to about a 75shot zex

I pull 2.0 to 2.1-60fts with the stock 205/65/15's @ 15psi but the tires are max'd out and I can not launch any harder without blowing the tires off the rim

I lauch from idle, I find this to work the best cause if I try launching at a higher rpm the tires will just spin

I am not really worried about it cause if the afpr did not die on the run I would have broke 13's
