98SE 50 shot 14.389@98.79 good?
hello, I went to the track today and out of 3 runs my first run ever was the best. Elevation corrected it was the above stated, 60'=2.551. That time sounds about right but it deffinatly felt like I could have dont a better job, owell 1st time. Car weighed 3285, stock 16's on the front.

Actually, that's pretty good...
How about more details on your car, and a full set of the numbers from your time slips ??
Having tire/traction problems ???? The slip tells all.

the high 60ft is due to a bad launch....the high trap speed also. you will almost always trap higher when you spin the tires hard off the line...a good launch will typically lower your trap.
but yes...not to say 13s isnt possible...i hit 13s with a 75 shot and id do a 100 if i had the jets....go for it man.....vq's love juice. break into the 13s.

That's an old wives tale and is completely untrue. The only time it holds water is in the case of a bad bog which doesn't result in a terrible 60' - which isn't what happened here. If he'd have pulled a 2.1 60' in this case, his trap would have been the same or more likely a little better even. Spinning the tires is wasting time that could be used for accelerating the car, that's all.
To the OP, sounds like a pretty typical run. What were the uncorrected numbers like? Regardless, work on getting that 60' down.
alright you asked for it..

I used .9276 for 5800ft altitude conversion factor because the track is 5860ft
