That's cool. When are you getting slicks? BTW, those are some impressive 60 foots for DRs! Would you say the track prep was better than it was at MAXUS 09?

Track prep was awsome(didnt run) The 8 sec. car were dead hooked all the way down the track. The only down side was Cars started breaking and was slowing up the action. They were fast with all clean ups though

I looked up some quick info for Sunday afternoon. It was high 60s, 40% humidity, and the pressure was high at 30.29. Great conditions to race in!

MAXUS 09 had a density altitude of around 2400 feet. But this past Sunday, it was around 400 feet. That's about 4 tenths faster in the 1/4 mile just due to weather.

Edit: Is this a different car than you had at MAXUS 09? I see your best time at MAXUS was only high 13s. What have you done since then?
It was my last qualify pass, so it had to be around noon.

At noon, it was basically the same conditions as at 3pm when I figured up the DA for the day. It was definitely a good day to race.

Damn JP, stop giving all these other drivers unreasonable hopes of catching you! Can I ask if you've broken any gears/trannys? If not, that's even more impressive. Keep up the great work!

Also, what does the car weigh?

Not sure what you mean, where did the other 200 lbs go??

Mine does not have leather, sunroof, 6 disc Bose...that makes a big difference....

Changing stock headers to Hotshot headers makes a huge difference...

Changing stock pulley to aftermarket pulley makes a small difference but you can feel the difference when you hold them together in each hands....

Changing your stock exhaust to an aftermarket exhaust makes a difference..... it all adds up!!

When I was looking for my new 5.5 Gen 6 years ago, I specifically was looking for one without all the options...

Sometimes I would like to have heated seats though, for the NE winters...

Well said my friend!!! header, testpipe, udp, catback, flywheel, lightweight rims, intake, even SSIM(lol). While all of them produce HP gains, They also reduce weight!. Its something most of us neglent to even consider when we think about weight reduction.

The car a search as stated was a plain jane gxe and still came in at 3200lbs

I have a 4gen which is a lighter car to start, 3.5 which is lighter, header back exhaust which is lighter, no cats, no egr and still came in a 3280 with driver but maybe the scales in the north are off or maybe that headlight he took out for the track was made of lead

with that said I am guess trying to figure whats the hell are you guess removing to make your cars so light and still have full trim so I can do the samething

Maybe your scale is off?? My 4th gen weighed in at 3135 w me in it. And i have heated leather seats!! My brothers was 3083 with him in it w/ no passenger or rear seats.
But here's what i did:
Took out passenger and rear seats
Trunk gutted
1/4 tank of 103 octane
Driver headlight was taken out
both amps removed
16 spoke 4thgen se's in the rear, 16inch ssr comps with hoosier Drag radials
I still had all bumper supports, driver seat, all door panels, FSTB and RSB plus all other stock parts.
FYI: weight w/ me in stock form w/ my 19's 2 amps, flip-down TV, and 2 12inch subs was 3610

That scale had to be off! I have a 4th gen with VQ30DE with an 00vi (adds some weight over the USIM), heated power leather seats, heated mirrors, Bose sound system, sunroof, auto climate control, I put in a lot of wiring to hardwire my radar detector remote display as well as my Infiniti I30 auto dim mirror, etc. Not to mention HID wiring and ballasts that add another good 10lbs or so. I have a catback exhaust, but after weighing it, it was roughly the same as the stock exhaust.

All I did was take out my spare tire and floor mats and even with all the luxury stuff, mine weighed in at 3130 with 1/3rd tank of gas and driver. By the end of the night I was 3120-3125ish after burning off some fuel.

so wait quick question your changed to a lighter flywheel but kept your stock clutch

on that note i might go get my max weight 95 GXE 5spd w added on Sunroof, manual cloth seats and see how much it weight with me in it

Thats correct. I did some research and saw that people were beating the stock clutch, and it was holding up just fine. If my memory serves me right, i think 96sleeper ran 11.?? on a stock 5.5 clutch.

I don't think a 5.5 gen clutch will work on a 5-speed flywheel, I would need to do some reading to be sure. I think you meant 5gen clutch

My stock clutch started slipping when spraying a 75 shot on slicks at the track. It's not too bad N/A though.

96sleeper had a clutchnet clutch at the time he ran 11s I think, and now has an ACT Xtreme. He uses 4th gen fidanza flywheel.

I think that scale is off. You've probably read my other posts on the subject because I've posted in tons of weight threads, but I've weighed 3 different 4th gens on probably 5 different scales 10-15 different times, and they are always consistent, and way lighter than your reported weight.

Pretty close. I have never had a 5th gen clutch. I did have a clutchnet 6 puck but it never held at the track for a single pass. I went somewhere in the 12's and it slipped badly everywhere. I ran 11's with the ACT Xtreme PP and street disc. IMHO the best setup for smoothness and drivability and holding power. I do have a 4th gen fidanza flywheel, it was great for power and rev-happiness but it sure makes launching on slicks a little harder with less rotating mass.

the only honda I remember seeing there in their class was an RSX, I don't remember an older honda running good times.
