That was our friend Curtis with his NSX. I actually gave him a pretty good race. He staged slow and gave me alot of time to get ready and I had a car on him by the 1/8 mile. Of course he got me at the end.

 

Yeah, I've never heard of a 91 Honda with a 3L without it being an engine swap (which isn't allowed in your class). I figured it had to be an NSX unless if an engine swap slipped by inspection.

im not sure that ive ever seen 103 at any pump oversees, but they use a different octane rating system which means that the octane indicated at the pump is higher than what it would be here in the US. Either way, 103 here in the US can be considered race gas. AFAIK the only difference between race gas and other is that race gas is typically very high octane. theres only some additives difference between 91 C8H18 and 116 C8H18

Exhibit #1 1990 -1996 nsx's came with 5 sp and 3.0 motors.

Exhibit #2 1997-2005 nsx's came with 3.2 and 6 sp.

Exhibit #4 Curits has no engine cover on it so how could you tell anywayz.

Jordan don't know what he talkin bout...car is only a 5spd 3.0 man...been in the car plenty of times including the ikea meet..car only is a 3.0 with a 5spd and the man has said plenty of times he wish he had the motor in his cl in his nsx cuz it made more power...meaning he still has the 3.0 in his nsx....

That shouldn't be too hard. The overall 5.5 "record" was set on just boltons and a 75 shot with a mostly empty bottle, full weight, and a novice on slicks (was my first time at the track with slicks too).

Someone needs to put the 5.5 up there where it belongs in the 11s or faster! I know it won't be me, just looking to make the maxima a solid mid/high 12 second N/A daily driver at this point and I think i'm around 99% there other than suspension stuff.

I bet even JayPee's N/A record could be 3-4 .10ths faster with a low 1.7 '60 foot (which I bet a N/A 5.5 is capable of).

 

well using nitrous isnt really beating his record moreso just setting one... if you have to use some kinda force induction to beat an all motor record in the same car shouldnt make you feel too much rewarding as his record still stands

 

So are you saying datdude is going to beat the N/A fastest, or the fastest period? Guess you forgot to clarify when you said fastest and as far as I can tell fastest includes any 5.5. For some reason my crappy 75 shot time is still the "fastest" regardless of F/I. My point was that it should be very easy to beat.

And I'm not sure what you mean about me "having" to use anything to beat his record. I set the 12.4 "record" (even though its pretty crappy, even for a 75 shot) long before he went 12.58 and it would have been kind of hard to divine into the future and shoot for his N/A record with nitrous which makes absolutely no sense in the first place.

 

Didn't Jime have the fastest A33B time when he was spraying something like a 125 shot?
