Im heading to the track with my max for the first time next week and was curious if anyone could give me a ball park time as to what i should expect to run with the hp i have so im not devastated if a run a much higher time than i expected.Im at 248 hp and 247 fpt and im running my 03 se 6mt with z32's on the front with nitto dr's.Im thinking if i can cut a good 60' maybe 13.8 ish ??

What mods? My best is 14.0 @ 99mph with basically just headers, test pipe and an Exedy stage 1 clutch. So if you have full exhaust, tune etc I would say high 13's easily. Also depends on how you launch. You want around a 2.0 60 ft IMHO...

Nitto drag radials suck, but atleast they're better than street tires.
You could probably get a 1.9-2.0 60ft with those.

Your car should easily be in the 13s.

A more important question, can you drive?

Yea man ive been racing cars/streetbikes/dirtbikes etc for the last 13 years or so.I have only run built fox body mustangs/my bikes and my TSI Talon at the track so not to much experience with the max except light to light but i find it seems to launch good slightly slipping the clutch out around 4 grand

mods are gutted cats/megan test pipe/cattman 3'' cat back/NWP bop and ETL/timing bumped +2/Stillen sri....Best dyno pull was heat soaked on a mustang dyno and the car made 247.6 hp@6126 and 248.5 fpt@3964 untuned, Also have a set of spacers and ssim going on before i go up the track

If you can drive good I would say mid 13's.. Around 104/105 trap speed.

Nice, don't lift your foot off the gas.
Makes a huge difference on a stick car.

when i had my '02 i was getting 13.98, with a 2.0 60' time. with a stage 1 clutch, y pipe, magnaflow exhaust, short ram, no back seats in the car, etc.

if you get a good 60' time you can get in the 13s

I would not do SSIM without a rev limit extended and a tune. SSIM really loses power if you dont extend rev limiter.....SSIM would REALLY be nice with Cams, rev limit extended, rod bolts and a good tune. Otherwise you wasting your power away. I would just go with the spacers to compliment your BOP. I have a BOP now and after 4k rpms......things just pulls and pulls and I still have good low end torque for daily driving.

tuned ssim with his mods will do just fine. even without extended revs. trust me . the TQ gained from his 3" catback and the headers will make up for the low end loss. u dont need all that extra crap to make the have fun with ssim

13.8-13.9 due to the fact its your first time and mustang dynos read high. Also you dont have headers.

Who told you that ?? Mustang dyno's are usually the heart breaker even the guy that dyno'd it told me that, and what do headers have to do with a track time when im basing it on my horsepower ?? are you plugged in over there ?? And ive been to the track hundreds of times just with different cars.
