15's and some 24.5 slicks are going to make a hell of a difference!
You're gonna love it!

Yeah a lot of people don't understand what we do but we're going fast on a budget. As long as we're having fun screw the other guys lol.

exacly i just sold my old suspension and probably could have sold the interior and all of that to have come close to breaking even for sure, but i just want to enjoy this for as long as i can for the cheapest way possible, at the end of the day im doing this because i wanna see how fast i can go with spending the least amount of money. The best is lining up beside a 60k+++ car and walking all over it. Let alone over 100k in some cases.

depends on the width of slick you use.

I would try to use a wheel as wide as the slick to maximize the contact patch of the tire.

8" wide tires will work on a stock 6.5" wide wheel, but those slicks are pretty tall. I would go for something in 23x8 or 24.5x8

+1

I used a 26" tall tire and it was too much. A 24.5" tall tire would have been perfect!

bought 24.5-8-15 M/T Slicks mounted on 15x7 drag dr-21. Mounted and balanced at 27.2 LBS/rim+tire (20psi). saving about 1lb per wheel of rotational mass, should make a pretty big difference
