oil level rise

I noticed the last couple of oil changes, the oil level is high. The mechanics use 4 qts of oil and a FRAM oil filter.
BTW it's an '89 GXE with a manual tran w/ 205,000 miles.

Any ideas,

on my 88, i use about 4.25 quarts with a nissan filter. This seems to fill it up fine. I've been using valvoline 10w30 semi synthetic oil too.
