My first thoughts would maybe be most upper end junkyards for the seats. As far as carpet, not sure where you should look, but you could try regular carpeting they have in houses, something low pile and not too cushy.

Thanks, Sarin. Being that I'm in no real hurry I could search junkyards. I noticed the other day that Autozone (gack) has rolls of auto carpet. How does one go about moulding a flat carpet to fit the conours of the floor pan?

I would assume that carpet would have a little bit of moldability to it since it's automotive grade. It probably won't go down perfect, but it wil probably make do.

I used to install carpet in homes and I know you can heat it to make it fit better around steps, but I don't know that it will work with automotive carpet.

That automotice carper is very thin, and very flexible, but doesn't really stretch much...

you could try some places like JC-Whitney - i know they have a premolded carpet for the 2nd gens...they may also have one for the 1st...

I've done a few recarpeting jobs with the flat roll stuff. Best way I could do it was with a few cans of spray adhesive and a sharp x-acto knife. Everywhere it needed to mold around something I just cut and glued it where it needed to go. It didn't turn out too bad.

Thanks, all

I had never thought of checking whitney. If they don't have it I got a new Xacto knife set for Christmas (coincedence?).
By next month I need to get the back brakes fixed and I'm getting two new fenders, a grille, a front valance and a trunk lid. With a bit of luck I can have it running and looking decent by summer
I hope.
