back to maxima.org....
... and it brings a tear to my eye, and brings back long memories of the maxima. I disappeared from the forum for a few months. I drive an S-10 blazer now but given the opportunity now, I'd give my left arm for another second generation maxima, or to have mine back.. we have so many memories together. maybe in a few months I'll see what money I can get for this blazer and think about getting another maxima... preferably an 88 because that's what I have a factory service manual for.
I see everyone's still asking questions about their timing belts. mine took 3 days at a moderate level of motivation. Plan wisely, don't go cheap, and expect to blow a weekend and a few 6-packs on it. it's not hard at all, just a bunch of bolts and a lot of cursing, but that's to be expected.
my maxima is long gone.. off to some unappreciative owner who'll prpbably use generic parts or (gasp)... have a shop do the work (eww!) but somewhere my friend has pictures of it... I'll see if I can find them and post them.
