Aftermarket sound and OEM Warrenty

OK, my brother just got that '03 Sentra (it reminds me of what a new 87 Max would be like), and it came with the balance of the factory warrenty. He wants to put in his Pioneer CD head unit and speakers, amp, and subs. The dealer said this would void the warrenty. Everyone I work with at Pep's agrees, so I guess it's true. However, I heard somewhere that it will only void the warrenty if the dealer PROVES that the mods you put on caused the problem. What do you guys think he should do?
Thanx

sounds like a bunch of crap....same with bolt on mods, since the 'help' performance they are not suposed to void a warranty....they will of course give you a hard time for them. Maybe they think you will cause an electrical fire....but all you have to do is replace the aftermarket stuff with stock stuff (if you take it in on warranty) if you are really worried about it

If he got the stuff re-installed, it will be at a professional shop (which does damn fine work, btw). Wanted to see what you guys thought, cuz I can't imagine aftermarket speakers, CD player, even an amp would causing problems.

And actually he had finance problems--after he was already approved no less--so he's now getting an '05 for the same price, with the Rockford/Fosgate (barf) sound package, so he may not want his other stuff anyway. Thanx for the replies.
