Ram Air

I finally completed the ram air fabrication for the hood scoop and it works well its like a turbo at high speeds especally with the cold air at nifgt its really cool.

Or you can put in a simple exhaust driven intake and call it good.

i wish i had one of those.....gonna try the conversion tho but first 300zx parts: computer, maf, calipers and slotted rotors thats the plan for the summer..

didnt know the maf read differently...oh well got a new one on the way any way...it says it works for either or

so taking out all that intake doesent mess up how the maf and the rest of the system cause the rest of the car to run? (other than the obvious snaking arround and warming incomming air)

Nope, cause the MAF is at the opening of the intake...it MIGHT effect the MAF reading if it were placed closer to the TB...MAYBE...

And Sarin, the ideal would be to ram all that cold air down, into an IC'ed snail...

there isint one for now but im shure that i could put one from the honda box i stole the equipment from i just havent put it on yet i like it without it on the freeway get real speed going 115 at 3500 rpms is just cool..

uh arent filters made to filter stuff out that you dont want in. lol id probably put one in my man. cool mod though.

What kind and size of fitting did you use to connect the MAF to the TB? I made a Cold Air Intake very similar to yours, but i couldnt find the right size of fittings, so i used a large tin can (from some spray glue) as a coupler and tubing on my CAI. It works really good, but it looks really bad.

its the small coupler from a 300zx the one that is right by the trottle body
