gearing question

hey, i couldnt find out what the gear ratios were or the final drive on the auto 3 speed+overdrive tranny. since my speedo doesnt work i wanted to have some sort of way of telling how fast im going. so does anyone happen to know what the ratios are, and of a site to convert them?

Eric, The Haynes manual says it's 3.70-1 Thats why theese things are slow off the line!
As I understand it a 240sx rear axel can be fitted, and has a 3.90-1 ratio and will improve the off the line performance! Earl

Why?

I needed a wagon, and it was in great shape, and cheap! I rather like the wagon styling, and it's sure a luxury ride, with all the bells and whistles, and they all work! earl

Gear ratio's

Eric, First= 2.458:1
Second= 1.458:1
Third= 1.000:1
O/D= 0.686:1
Reverse= 2.182:1

I hope that answers your question, the only other variable is tire size!
Earl
P.S. Get A Manual!
