So... im gettin her runnin for winter again

as it says, i'm fixin her up for winter driving this year. It still has the usual problems with the starter and bad gas mileage.

how much does is it gonna cost to have the flywheel replaced? and should i go ahead and have the timing belt replaced too?

if i change the fuel filter and little tune up things do you think my gas mileage will improve or do i have to go deeper than that?

thanks

1) Whats the usual problem with the starter? How is your gas mileage?

2)What's up with flywheel; how many miles on the timing belt?

3)It's a good idea to change the fuel filter, and primarily the air filter if you still have the filter box.

Can a bad CHTS cause bad gas mileage and decreased performance?

the teeth on my flywheel are bad so its hard to get the starters teeth to mesh with the flywheel. so it grinds and grinds til it gets a good mesh. I have 155k on the engine and I havent changed the belt since i have had it at 112k. The gas mileage averages 18-20mpg
