you better have a 2nd gen

also when you did the 5 speed swap is there a short throw shifter out there that we can use. i heard that somewheres that we can use one from a altima. my tranny is giving out the disks didnt help even a lil and the tranny really cant keep up with the fast spinning turbo motor.

Nope, no 2nd gen. Just like Q, I went 4th gen with some 'mild' upgrades.

When I did the 5-speed conversion it was a 4th gen. My 2nd gen was 5-speed from the factory. You can probably get creative with the shifter. Use one from a 3rd gen, possibly an altima, or even a stanza.

What are you doing in Manassas? We have a pretty big group in that area. It's a little less than two hours from me. Congrats on picking up the 4th gen. You will miss the handling of your 2nd gen, but you will love the engine in the 4th gen.

Work; we have a datacenter out here. It'd be cool to meet up, but I don't want to embarass myself with the rental car I have (Impala *cough*)...and I dunno if I would have time.

Definately already love the motor. I've help build it up for the last 7 years. I still haven't picked the car up yet because of scheduling between Ian and I, but will be getting it this saturday. Pictures to come.
