1st gen spuddering and shooting off black smoke

I just did my front suspension and my car is now spuddering and not getting power and i know i didn't mess up my fuel lines or ignition wires or anything related what could be giving me issues? any people had this happen? any info would be nice so i can look for other issues that might be the cause. thanks for anyone who tries to help me. also the car was angled in the air for like 4 hours during repair if that helps.

black smoke = flooding out, make sure the intake is clear, make sure wires going to the injectors are good, irrc the injectors are neg controlled, so if the ground wire for the injector is shorted the injector will stay open flooding it, other then that check the ohms of the injectors to make sure they are good.... one other thought check the wiring harness to see if it runs near where the jack was put....

Thanks man I will get on it tomorrow its rainy and cold today. After 2 days of suspension work and a ball joint that wouldn't come out this happened. Talk about rotten luck.

if its causing too much fuel to be dumped in constantly, that'll do it. i wouldnt drive to vehicle until you get it fixed, if you run it that rich for too long you can foul the cat converter and 02 sensors

if you cant get the part new, try to get a used one from Z. youve got a L28E engine right? should be able to get one from a 280Z/ZX
