fuel pressure regulator

I just bought an 85 maxima 3.0. The3 regulator has a vacuum hose on top and 3 fuel lines. But there is another spot for a threaded connection that someone has capped off. What is suppose to screw in here.

Does anybody know where I can buy a fuel temp sensor? Salvage yards around me dont have any old enough and parts stores thought I was messing with them because they've never even heard of it.

you should be able to pull one from any VG30 i.e. Z31 300z, pathfinder, 200sx SE V6...... or nissanpartszone.com, rock auto might have them also.....

check for the wire in the open space in the timing belt cover

That's not true....my VG30 nor any of the 4 others have this fuel temp sensor....I would check rockauto.com , partsgeek.com or a nissan parts wholesaler!

Well I have found the wiring that goes to the sensor but no luck finding a new or used sensor. Ive tried local salvage yards and even salve yards across the country that deliver. I checked with rockauto parts geek and others even thinking it might come with a new regulator. But no such luck so if anybody has an extra or comes across one they could ship to me I would appreciate it. I was also wondering if a coolant temp sensor would work in its place. I havent been able to find many pics of the fuel temp sensor but from what I can tell they have the same wiring and look identical. Thanks
